I have a Sony DCR-TRV18 . . . When a DV tape is in the camera, an error message flashes with the code: C:31:23. When there is no tape, the error does not appear. I have cleaned the inside of my camera, tried different tapes, disconnected the battery, etc, etc. This message will not go away and I cannot use my camera. Do you have any suggestions as to what I can do to fix my problem?
C 31:23 refers to an S reel fault. S reel refers to the supply reel- it is not turning, or not turning fast enough. Error message appears when there is a ......

Why is that why when I export the sequence from FinalCut, and view it on the exact same monitor I've just been using to edit, does the newly-created QT file have such a noticeable shift in its overall gamma -- very "washed out" compared to how it appears within FCP. Is there any way to fix this?
Question continued: This change happens no matter which export option I choose: - Export QT Movie (using current settings -- can be self-contained or just a reference movie);- Export Using Compressor;- ......

Hi I work at a public access tv studio in MA. And I was wondering if you had any suggestions on building a few sets for our studio. The one thing we are lacking are sets for our studio. As you can imagine being a nonprofit we don’t have a lot of money to spend on supplies so we need some cheap and easy ideas and was wondering if you had any?
I wish I had all the research I did when building sets for SATV (Salem AccessTelevision) in Salem. From what I remember this is what I did on a small budget:Unisets ......

Is there a way to output your macbook’s video to a 24’‘ monitor or TV. I own both the mini-dvi to svideo and mini-dvi to VGA. I tried using both but there is not enough video resources to output video becuase apparently there is no way to stop displaying on the mac screen. I wanted to ask you if you can find a way to stop displaying anything on the macbook screen so it only displays on the external monitor like how you can do on windows.
Your video quality has nothing to do with video resources; the MacBook has plenty of graphics card to drive its built-in and a TV or fairly large external display. Instead, you ......

I do small video production work primarily event related. I do not distribute content on a large scale however someone is telling me in order to put my HD video onto Blu Ray I have to purchase a $4000 license. Is this true or is this something dedicated to equipment manufacturers and large scale distribution houses. Please clarify this issue.
Let\'s be clear here that there are TWO different licenses involved in BD replication. AACS is a mandatory DRM scheme required to REPLICATE BD-ROMs. NO AACS license is required to burn BD-R ......
