For free music files the podsafe music network is great along with a site called podsafe audio- these two combined give many choices. From instrumental to rock to jazz these sites have it all?you?re sure to find something that would compliment any video production. They encourage use and you?re completely immune to copyrights or legal issues. Freeplay Music is another site with excellent free music but there are some restrictions before use so be sure to read their terms of service.
For shorter music for a 30 or 60 second commercial Flashkit.com has dozens of music loops to search through also try MBA Music along with Some free music loops at icompositions.com and garageband.com.
