Importing iTunes Songs into Final Cut Pro

Question: What is the best way to import songs that were purchased in iTunes into Final Cut? The only way I have been able to do it is by recording the purchased music onto my deck and then capturing from my deck into Final Cut. This obviously takes a lot of time, is there an easier way?

Answer: Because of DRM (Digital Rights Management) The only easy way is the one you mentioned.

Songs purchased from the iTunes store are specifically restricted in their use – i.e. they do not import into Final Cut Pro.

M4P is a protected format. Your purchase of the song gives you the right to play it on up to 5 devices. You do not have sync rights, mechanical rights, reproduction rights, etc. If you go against that grain your stepping in some legal hot water.
