Tech Tip Tuesday: Image capture in windows media player

So you have a .wmv file that you want to take an image from to use on your website or in a video you are editing but every time you do it the screen turns out black.
Here is a solution:
Open Windows Media Player
Then go to Tools>Options
In Options, select the Performance Tab
Way below you click on the Advanced Button
Uncheck “Use Overlays’
Click Ok
And you are ready.
Now when the video is playing and you want to capture a still simply press the “print scrn/sysrq” key on your keyboard then paste what you just captured into an image editing program like Photoshop- no screen capture software needed!
