Great Interview.
I’m in the market for a new cam and was looking at the Canon 2ti. One thing I found interesting is Ron’s decision not to purchase a camera.
If you’re renting one at $1000/mth—> in three months you could have the camera, lenses, and other required accessories and still roll the “rental” cost into your fee.
When something comes out that you determine will perform better sell it and pick up the newer model.
From what I can gather the DSLR are great for shooting video when you have time for a “set-up” but wouldn’t be that good for an ENG type shooter.
Brian and Ron thanks for the info and I’m looking forward to the DSLR class… especially the audio portion.
